Does baby have to be naked for skin-to-skin?
During this time, your baby’s skin should be exposed as well. They can wear a hat to contain their body heat and a diaper if you so choose, but it’s recommended that your little one is otherwise naked.
Can baby sleep during skin-to-skin?
Newborns should be placed skin-to-skin with their mother as soon after birth as possible, at least for the first hour. After that, or when the mother needs to sleep or cannot do skin-to-skin, babies should be placed on their backs in the bassinet.
